Meaghan Winter is a writer and journalist based in New York. Her work has appeared in a wide range of publications, including Businessweek, New York, Cosmopolitan, The Kenyon Review and The Believer. For the past few years, she’s traveled the country to report on reproductive rights in partnership with The Investigative Fund at The Nation Institute. She loves a long-form deep dive. And she writes fiction, too. Her work has received several honors, including being named a finalist for a National Magazine Award and being included in The Best Magazine Writing 2016.
Meaghan grew up in southern Westchester and now lives in Brooklyn. She has an MFA from Columbia, where she was a Dean’s Fellow. She has taught writing at Columbia, The New School and the City University of New York. She is also a long-distance runner and struggling student of Spanish.
